Job Description:

To support government communications, announcements, policies, and public initiatives, the OIC Video Producer will provide top-notch photography, video, and livestream content.

Important duties include:

• creating, directing, filming, editing, and overseeing video productions from beginning to end.
• arranging interviews with prominent figures, specialists, and members of the public.
• creating shot lists, interview questions, scripts, and original ideas.
• Using lighting, microphones, cameras, and other production tools.
• Managing final mastering, color grading, audio production, and video editing.
• Arranging schedules, travel, equipment, shootings, and production costs.
• Producing images for public narratives, government events, and advertising campaigns.
• Utilizing programs like Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Asana to manage projects.
• Arranging digital media files, obtaining approvals, and distributing finished material.
• Handling video feeds, graphics, audio, color, captions, and ASL interpretation to provide livestreams.
• Keeping up with production equipment and making sure digital resources are safe and well-organized.
• Investigating multimedia equipment, supplies, and technology and suggesting appropriate purchases.

Requirements for OIC Video Producer Jobs in Canada:

• In addition to three (3) years of relevant experience, the candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as digital media production, photography, videography, or a similar discipline.
• If the candidate exhibits a comparable level of education and experience, they will be given consideration.
• The applicant needs to have prior documentary filmmaking expertise.
• The applicant needs to have prior experience creating videos for social media.
• The applicant must have prior experience in photo and video production, including editing procedures.
