Job Description:

• For about 80–85% of the planned workweek, the candidate will work in the community, connecting people with services through outreach and in-reach strategies.
• The candidate will be in charge of helping people get necessary services and navigate government procedures, especially in the Province’s intricate care facilities.
• The candidate will be in charge of coordinating housing inspections, accelerated intakes, and rigorous case management.
• The candidate will back initiatives to reduce obstacles for people dealing with addiction, trauma, mental illness, and homelessness.
• Maintaining good working relationships with people, organizations, and community partners will be the candidate’s responsibility.

Requirements for Community Integration Specialist Jobs in Canada:

• The applicant must have completed secondary school and have at least three years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience and an Evergreen Certificate are prerequisites.
• A comparable mix of training and experience could be taken into account.
• The applicant must have prior experience helping those who are homeless or living in poverty.
• The applicant must have prior expertise helping those who are struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.
• The applicant needs to have prior experience helping people with impairments.
• A candidate with prior experience working with various service providers or in community organizations will be given preference.

• An applicant with prior experience in a community-based position such as an outreach worker, shelter worker, health care worker, social worker, etc will be given preference.
• Within 13 months of beginning work, the candidate must obtain a current driver’s license from British Columbia.
• At the time of employment, the candidate must be based in British Columbia.
